Speaking at a rally Saturday night with former President Donald Trump, U.S. Republican Mary Miller of Illinois called the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Rowe v. Wade a "victory for white life."

A spokesman for Miller said the Illinois Republican wanted to call the decision a "victory for the right to life." The given line was out of step with the inconsistent effect on women of color withdrawing the right to abortion.

Miller is running for re-election in the state's newly redesigned 15th Congressional District against GOP Republican Rodney Davis with the blessing of the former president.

Miller was invited to the stage for Trump's speech at a rally in Mendon, Illinois, to vote before the state's primary on Tuesday.
