Volkanowski (25-1) defended his featherweight championship for the fourth time on Saturday night, beating Holloway (23-7) by a unanimous decision in their highly anticipated trilogy bout.
All three judges scored in the 145-pound title fight, which co-titled UFC 276 inside the T-Mobile Arena, a 50-45 clean sweep for the defending champions.
Volkanovsky won both decisions, but the fights were very close - especially the rematch. Shortly after the rematch, some in the sport still consider Hallway to be the true featherweight champion, but that feeling is long, long after UFC 276.
Holloway has broken the two-fight winning streak. His only defeat in 2014 in featherweight came against Volkanovsky.
