Mike Boss, one of hockey's greatest goal scorers and stars for the New York Islands in the 1980s, has died. He was 65 years old.

Basir confirmed the death on Thursday night.

This is the third rate of the islanders' era this year since Femer Clark Gilly's colleague Hockey Hall died in January and Jean Potvin died in March.

Bosi was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991 and was named one of the NHL's 100 Best Players in 2017.
