According to the club, Ozzie Albies, the second baseman for the Atlanta Braves, left the game after a leg fracture in the fifth inning against the Washington Nationals on Monday night.

Albis, 25, appeared to be suffering injuries when he tried to get out of the batter's box after a swing.

Albis entered Monday .246 / .288 / .408 (90 OPS +) with eight home runs in the season. The mark of Albis was less than its normal value.

Ozzie Albies, a two-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slager Award winner, has hit .277 / .329 / .492 (109 OPS +) with 60 home runs between 2019-21.

It's not clear how long Albis will miss - the club have not yet given a schedule for his possible return - but the Braves do not have the abundance of infield depth to call from.
