After two impressive wins over the New York Knicks, the Philadelphia 76ers returned to their home court on Friday night to face the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time this season.

A few weeks ago, when the Sixers hosted the Cavs, Joel MBD's 40-point effort allowed Philadelphia to come up with an impressive win.

In the first quarter, Cleveland shot about 75-percent from the field and three-to-80-percent. When the Sixers played passive on defense, they could not keep pace with the Cavs as they scored 43-30 in the first quarter of the action.

During the rotating period around the second trimester, the cavalry returned to Earth at the offensive end. Meanwhile, the Sixers picked up the slack with some help from Tobias Harris and Shake Milton. As the veterans rallied for 17 points, they helped the Cavaliers score 33-28 before going into halftime.

When Philadelphia scratched and returned to the game after an uncomfortable start to the night, they were still trailing 71-63 at halftime.

With the win, the Sixers picked up their fifth straight win to go 39-23 in the season. Now, after a big win on Friday, they are set to face the Miami Heat on the second night of Saturday back-to-back as they descend to South Beach.
